Lehmiller J.J (2008) - Journal of Sex Research
This study surveyed 1,000 individuals who identified as swingers to explore their motivations for participating in group sex. The study found that motivations for participating in swinging included exploring sexual fantasies, enhancing sexual pleasure, and strengthening relationships, among others. The study also found that individuals who identified as swingers reported higher levels of relationship satisfaction and sexual satisfaction compared to non-swingers.
